Thermitight is a minimally invasive way to tighten loose skin. It is especially suited to tightening loose skin on the neck and jowls; crepey skin of the upper arms, knees, and thighs, and loose abdominal skin. However, it can be used to tighten loose skin in other locations, too.
How It Works
Thermitight uses energy to warm the underside of the skin to a specific temperature. It does this using a small probe that is placed under the skin and moved around the area to be treated. When collagen is heated to a specific temperature range, it is stimulated to contract and produce more, healthy collagen.
A unique feature of Thermitight is its built-in thermometer to regulate the warmth of the tissue so it does not get too hot. The treatment is also performed using an external thermal camera to ensure that the skin overlying the treatment area does not get to hot, either.
Recovery is ususally minimal. There may be mild bruising and swelling, but many patients can return to work the next day.
Usually only a single treatment is needed. This is not a procedure that requires a series of treatments.
